Christmas & New Year Bin Collection Changes
Glasgow City Council has issued revised wheeled-bin collection dates for the Christmas and New Year period. If your usual collection falls on 25 December 2025 or 1 January 2026, please check the updated timetable available on the Council’s festive waste page:

Residents can take excess or bulky waste to any of the following Household Waste Recycling Centres (closed on Christmas Day and New Year’s Day):
Dawsholm Recycling Centre
Easter Queenslie Recycling Centre
Polmadie Recycling Centre
Shieldhall Recycling Centre
Please also dispose of used batteries safely. Batteries placed in household bins can ignite without warning. They should be recycled at a local Recycling Centre or another approved drop-off point.
